ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
The American Heart Association’s Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Course is totally redesigned to incorporate new science evidence from the 2015 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC and a new teaching methodology.
Through the ACLS Course, healthcare providers will enhance their skills in the treatment of the adult victim of a cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergency. The American Heart Association’s ACLS Course emphasizes the importance of high-quality CPR and the integration of effective CPR with advanced cardiovascular life support interventions. It also emphasizes effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation.
The AHA’s ACLS course is designed for personnel staffing emergency, intensive care or critical care departments; emergency medical providers such as physicians, nurses, emergency technicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists and other professionals who may respond to a cardiovascular emergency.
Students are required to complete the pre-course material prior to attending the course.
